Customized Hormone Replacement Therapy

Consultation
Our consultation service provides a one-hour personal consultation with a pharmacist who is experienced and specially trained in women's health and customized hormones. Consultations are by appointment only, and are $150. The consultation includes the initial visit (usually ~45 minutes), a review of records/labs, communication with your physician and a 15 minute follow-up consult by appointment or by telephone.
Hormone Levels
Saliva Test Kits for hormone level testing as a precursor to hormone replacement therapy may be purchased in the pharmacy in Durham, North Carolina to determine hormone levels. The most typical hormones tested are: cortisol (adrenal function), estradiol, estrone, progesterone, testosterone, & DHEA. The cost varies from $180 to $250. Your Central Compounding pharmacist will discuss the recommended testing schedule with you during your consultation.
Treatment
After the hormone replacement therapy (HRT) consultation, we can work with your physician to develop a plan to address your specific needs. A few local physicians are not supportive of Customized Hormone Replacement Therapy use, so we advise that you speak to your physician prior to the consultation to discuss your plan to meet with us. Your prescription is then specially compounded using customized hormones. Nutritional supplements will also be recommended as part of your treatment in order to achieve proper balance of all hormones.
Seminars
To learn more about the art of compounding, customized hormones,, treatments, and more, we strongly recommend you attend an In-House Seminar ~ and please bring a friend! The seminar fee is $10.
